Job description
Quality Inspector 2Location: Simi Valley, CA 93063 Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension) 6/Hr. on W2 Schedule: M – F | 5:00am – 1:30pmResponsibilities:Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standardsParticipates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standardsPerforms routine visual inspection of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.Participates in preparing all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.Implements and maintains technical quality assurance procedures.Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested itemsIdentifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issuesPerforms routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling.Conducts Internal audits and corrective action follow upsInspecting wires, sensors such as force sensors, pressure sensors, etc. using ring gauges, calipers, torque ranges, micrometers, and other toolsRegular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.Other responsibilities as assigned. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryQualifications:Ability to follow detailed job instructions.Able to apply a systematic Quality Assurance approach while using existing procedures to solve standard problems.Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.Capable of identifying and independently resolving routine issues.Experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists.Familiar with the casting, forging, molding, stainless-steel and electronic components use in Aerospace industry.Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, as well as Aero Space Standards like AS9100 use on aviation, space and defense organizations.Experience with all type of inspection tools like: Gauges, calipers, height gages, pin and block gages, V-blocks surface inspection tables, micrometers, and comparatorsExperience in performing internal audits based on established criteria and records the results.Experience with interpreting engineering drawings using the language of GeometricalProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Effective oral and written communication.Education & Experience: Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
