Quality Assurance Inspector — 2nd ShiftLocation: Peosta, Iowa | On-SitePay: $20–$25/hour + $0.50/hour shift differentialPremier Tooling & Manufacturing is seeking a driven Quality Assurance Inspector with strong mechanical aptitude to join their 2nd Shift team. You'll start on the production floor performing critical inspections while working alongside the quality management systems, automation technology, and compliance frameworks.We're looking for someone who wants to master our processes, take ownership of documentation, and grow into an engineering role within the company.ScheduleCore Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2 AMRegular overtime available based on production demands, including Friday (3:30 PM–Midnight) and Saturday (11 AM–5 PM) shiftsOvertime is rotated among team members when possibleWhy This RoleAdvancement: Start as an inspector and grow into a Quality Engineer role as you master our processesPay: $20–$25/hour based on experience, blueprint reading ability, and inspection background, plus $0.50/hour 2nd shift differentialAttendance award: $174/month (equivalent to $1/hour)Vacation: Two weeks paid, available at hireOvertime: Available when you want extra hours, rotated fairly among the teamWhat You'll DoPerform receiving, first piece, in-process, and last piece inspections; conduct final audit and dock auditsRead and interpret blueprints to confirm parts meet specificationComplete part layout inspections and quality documentation (PPAP, ISIR, APQP)Use statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor quality trendsSupport calibration activities and participate in corrective action investigationsPaint and engrave templates as neededWhat You NeedRequired:1–3+ years of hands-on experience in metal stamping, tooling, die work, CNC machining, automated manufacturing lines, or precision fabrication — this background must come from a hard-goods mechanical manufacturing environment (food manufacturing, chemical processing, or CPG backgrounds alone won't meet this requirement)Proven ability to read and interpret industrial blueprints and mechanical specificationsExperience using calipers, micrometers, protractors, or specialized gaugesStrong documentation habits and the ability to follow, maintain, and update written quality proceduresAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.; stand and walk up to 3 miles per shift on concrete floors; manual dexterity for tight-tolerance measurement workHigh school diploma or GEDPreferred:Familiarity with ISO quality standards and documentation packages (PPAP, ISIR, APQP)Experience with CMM equipment or automated/robotic inspection cellsCompensation & Benefits$20 - $25/hour + $0.50/hour shift differential.
