Quality Inspector – Afternoon ShiftPay: Starting at $14.00 per hour Shift: Afternoon Shift, 2:48 PM–11:20 PMWe are looking for a dependable Quality Inspector to join a fast-paced plastic injection molding facility. This position is responsible for inspecting manufactured parts throughout the production process to ensure they meet established quality standards. Previous quality inspection or quality control experience is preferred, but training will be provided on all aspects of the position. Candidates should have good communication skills, basic computer and math skills, and be comfortable working with measurements. The selected candidate will initially train on 1st shift for approximately 1–2 weeks before moving to the regular afternoon shift. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with room for advancement after conversion.ResponsibilitiesPerform first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections at established intervalsInspect manufactured parts for defects and verify they meet quality requirementsUse measuring and inspection equipment such as calipers, pin gauges, scales, and other inspection toolsPerform process audits, dock audits, and incoming inspections of componentsDocument inspection results accuratelyIdentify and communicate quality concerns to appropriate team membersPerform sorting and rework of nonconforming products as neededIssue hold tags for products that do not meet quality requirementsUse basic computer systems to enter or retrieve quality informationMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work areaFollow established safety and quality proceduresWork overtime as needed to support production requirements and shift coveragePerform other quality-related duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious quality inspection or quality control experience is preferredGood communication skills are requiredBasic computer skills are requiredBasic math and measurement skills are requiredExperience using calipers, gauges, scales, or other measurement tools is a plusStrong attention to detailAbility to identify defects and accurately document findingsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWillingness and ability to train on 1st shift for approximately 1–2 weeks before moving to afternoon shiftWork Environment & Physical RequirementsPlastic injection molding manufacturing environmentRepetitive, fast-paced production workAbility to stand for the duration of the shiftProduction speeds may vary depending on machine outputAbility to perform repetitive inspection and measurement tasksAbility to work safely around manufacturing machinery and equipmentCommitment to maintaining a high level of workplace safetyWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating quality concerns.
