Job description
Quality InspectorOur client in Painesville is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector. The Quality Inspector is primarily responsible for inspecting and measuring product, recording the results of their inspections, and communicating results in a timely and accurate manner.1st Shift $19.00 an hourDuties/ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and other process documents to obtain product information such as specified material, color, finish, and dimensions.Perform periodic in-process and final inspections, and SPC control charting as applicable.Perform effective and efficient operation of all standard inspection equipment; including calipers, micrometers, comparators, measure scopes, height verniers, scales, etc.Communicate deviations from specifications, irregularities and defects using fact-based findings.Collaborate with supervision to ensure quality assurance procedures are implemented effectively and adhered to on the manufacturing floor.Actively promote the Commitment to Quality policy and procedures.Provide support of quality assurance activities as needed including but not limited to quality training, audits, customer return evaluations, and corrective actions.Perform various assigned production duties when not engaged with inspection or quality evaluation activities.Other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality inspector position within a manufacturing setting required.Previous experience detecting defects and irregularities on extremely small parts required.Required Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings required.Proficient in the use of measurement tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Gage Pins, GO-NO/GO Gages and vision systems) required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused on repetitive tasks.Excellent analytical skills to collect and analyze data.Ability to remain calm and maintain professionalism under pressure.Ability to work professionally and collaboratively cross-functionally with Production and Engineering.Ability to multi-task and quickly shift priorities in support of production needs.Willingness to work overtime, as needed.Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear.Occasional use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.BenefitsHealthcare benefitsFully paid life insuranceHealth Savings Account with company contribution401(k) employer matchOn-Site Fitness CenterPaid Vacation and Paid HolidaysTuition ReimbursementGrowth and Development OpportunitiesPositive culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
