Job description
Quality Assurance PersonnelQuality Assurance Personnel are responsible for ensuring that all products released from the site meet defined customer requirements. This shall be accomplished using effective manufacturing methods with a focus on improving efficiency and reducing scrap. This role provides quality support to production. Support the Quality Department's efforts to improve outgoing product quality and department efficiency throughout the operation.Pay: $21.50 Shift: Morning Schedule: 6 AM to 6 PM; 2/2/3 rotating scheduleEssential Functions & ResponsibilitiesFollow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to:Company and facility PoliciesSafety – LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rulesQuality – PQCT/Inspection Plans, Specifications, Testing Frequencies and ProceduresSOPs – Methods for performing workSSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean)Good Manufacturing PracticesFood/Safety SecurityHACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)Food Regulatory and Customer SpecAccountable for ensuring that product testing is performed per the PQCT/Inspection Plan for all article typesPerform product audits as needed to ensure ongoing qualityResponsible for start-up and in-process verification tests and document results to specification and meet all quality requirementsAccountable for understanding specifications and PQCT/Inspection plans for various product typesEnsure that quality product standards are upheld and that any suspect product is identified, held, and handled in accordance with established practices, including recording appropriate data in Non-Conforming/Hold database, and communicating status to Quality Facilitator and Shift LeadVerify any "out of control" conditions and report to the appropriate staff – Mold Tech, Operator, Shift Lead; follow up to ensure appropriate adjustments are made, and product/process is acceptableParticipate in daily shift pass-on meetings to ensure any issues or product concerns are communicated to on-coming personnelAnswer any quality questions generated by mold techs/operators/packers/shift leads as to what is acceptable, marginal, or defectiveWorks as a valuable Team member to accomplish business goals and objectives:Assist in verification of raw materialsWork together with all plant personnel to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize production performanceActively participate during DOE, Gage R&R, or other studies relating to process improvement as directed by Quality FacilitatorParticipate in investigations and corrective actions for quality issues or customer complaintsSupport product retesting / re-inspection on Holds and ReturnsAssist in identification of root causes of non-conformancesProvide feedback and suggestions for improvementProvide training as necessary for new QA personnelEnsure that documentation is thorough and accurate and properly filed at completion of task or workday
