Quality InspectorPower Drives, Inc. is a Buffalo-based manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered hose, tube, and fluid conveyance systems for a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment applications. Founded in 1946, PDI is known for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions backed by strong engineering expertise and decades of industry experience.Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PMThis role is 100% onsite Pay Rate: $20–$21 per hour as well as monthly performance incentivesObjectiveTo support production through testing, inspection, and auditing of products, processes, and tools with the highest level of quality and efficiency.Minimum RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of quality inspection experience or 1 year of service in Production at Power Drives, Inc.Experience in blueprint readingExperience with measurement tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, scales)Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring DevicesJob RequirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesExceptional customer orientationAbility to organize and manage multiple prioritiesBasic mathematical and reasoning skills with the ability to learn quicklyWorking knowledge of manufacturing processesDetail-oriented and accurateAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work well under pressureAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to be cross-trained in other functionsAbility to stand for the entire shiftEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute assignments as given by the Supervisor or Group LeaderImmediately report equipment, process, material, safety, or quality concernsFollow all work instructions, policies, safety guidelines, and proceduresMeet or exceed all quality and quantity requirementsPerform product inspections at required intervalsValidate first-piece production runsConduct customer-required quality testingEnsure compliance with customer and quality system requirementsAssist in internal and external auditsPerform process and inspection auditsUse measurement tools such as calipers, scales, gage blocks, fixtures, and 3D measuring devicesTrain other team members as assignedMaintain housekeeping in assigned areasParticipate in problem-solving, continuous improvement, and customer complaint resolutionRead and interpret product blueprints and technical dataPerform basic preventative equipment maintenanceAccept reassignment to other departments as neededPhysical RequirementsThis position requires physical strength and endurance, including repetitive tasks, lifting up to 40 lbs., standing for long periods, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and working in a fast-paced production environment.2026 Buffalo's Business First Best Places To Work Finalist
