Job description
Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector ensures that food products consistently meet company quality standards and regulatory safety requirements. This role monitors production lines, performs critical food safety measurements, and documents all inspections to support a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing process.ResponsibilitiesCheck food products during production to confirm they meet established quality and food safety standards.Continuously monitor production lines and visually inspect products for defects, contamination, or other quality issues.Measure and record critical safety parameters such as product temperatures, chlorine levels, pH, and other required metrics.Verify that equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized before, during, and after production.Operate and monitor tools and equipment such as thermometers, scales, metal detectors, and ATP testing devices.Accurately complete forms, logs, and documentation related to food safety checks, quality inspections, and production records.Enforce basic food safety rules, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene standards, and cleanliness requirements.Place products on hold when they do not meet quality or safety specifications and promptly report issues to supervisors or quality personnel.Collaborate closely with production, sanitation, and quality assurance teams to resolve issues and maintain consistent product quality.Follow all safety and PPE requirements while working around food processing equipment and production lines.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of experience working in a food manufacturing environment.High School Diploma or equivalent.Hands-on experience with quality inspection in a production setting.Ability to perform visual inspection of products on fast-moving production lines.Experience using metal detectors for product safety checks.Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and basic food safety rules.Ability to take and interpret measurements such as temperature, chlorine levels, and pH.Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.Capability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift.Ability to work around food processing equipment and production lines safely.Must not be sensitive to food allergens, given the food manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with general labor tasks in a manufacturing or production environment.Prior use of thermometers, scales, ATP testing devices, and similar inspection tools.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularities quickly.Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, sanitation, and QA teams.Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records and logs.Comfort working in hot, wet, or refrigerated areas as needed.Why Work Here?This role offers a direct placement opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and company-paid life insurance. The facility can be loud at times, consistent with a manufacturing setting.
