Job description
Quality Control AssistantJoin a growing structural steel and fabrication team where quality and craftsmanship are critical to every project. We're seeking a detail-oriented QC Assistant to support weld inspections, quality documentation, dimensional verification, and fabrication compliance throughout the production process.Pay Range: $25-$40/hr Shift: 1st Shift M-F (9am-5:00pm) & 2nd Shift M-F (1:30pm-10:30pm)What You'll DoPerform visual weld inspections during fabrication and final assemblyVerify welds meet drawing, WPS, and code requirementsIdentify and communicate weld defects and quality concerns to production personnelPerform dimensional inspections using standard measuring toolsReview fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and quality documentationComplete inspection reports and nonconformance documentation (NCRs)Verify incoming materials and work-in-process meet quality standardsSupport NDE coordination and quality system documentationAssist with maintaining inspection records and quality complianceWhat We're Looking For2+ years of quality inspection, welding, or fabrication experienceAbility to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbolsKnowledge of weld inspection methods and common weld defectsFamiliarity with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, fillet weld gauges, and measuring equipmentStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsAWS CWI certification or NDE experience is a plusAbility to work effectively with welders, fitters, and production personnelNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
