Quality InspectorLocation(s): Fort Mill, SC, US, 29708 Function: Manufacturing Audience: Hourly Work Arrangement: On Site1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Pay Rate: $19 per hourMain ResponsibilitiesRecords all production and scrap into Masterpack accurately.Verifies quality of production specifications through measurements and visual inspection techniques.Coordinates work of associates performing operations that follow the foaming process.Acts as a problem solver to not only identify quality issues, but support manufacturing efforts to remove the root cause.Manually assembles door shells using pneumatic and manual tools in a fast-paced environment, ensuring correct components are used.Performs end-of-line and in-process inspections.Completes daily checklist, recording information such as dimensional specifications of finished slab.To ensure identification of issues that may prevent maximum machine productivity and product quality expectations.Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety.Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.Meets quality standards for the line.Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.Must be able to work required overtime as needed.Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.Other duties may be assigned as needed.Position RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Able to read and write in English preferred but not required. Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality. Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format. Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change. Good hand/eye coordination. Language: Ability to understand English preferred but not required.Expected Behaviors: Self-motivated; Flexibility; Position is hands on requires Manufacturing floor mobility. Work well with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working amongst moving parts, oil, grease, coolants, fumes and other airborne particulates which can become hazardous under certain circumstances.
