Quality Inspector - Full Benefits - Sheet Metal CandidateLocation: Plymouth, MNShift: 1st and 2nd shiftPay: Competitive - Based on ExperienceJoin a Growing Precision Manufacturing TeamWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a precision machining and manufacturing company in Maple Grove. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with inspection experience who enjoys working with tight tolerances, precision measuring tools, and high-quality machined parts.You'll perform in-process and final inspections, work with a variety of measurement equipment, and receive training on advanced inspection technologies such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections on precision machined partsVerify dimensional accuracy using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparatorsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsApply GD&T principles during inspection activitiesComplete first article inspection reportsDocument inspection findings and quality resultsSupport inspection of CNC machined componentsCommunicate quality concerns with machinists and production personnelLearn and operate CMM equipment through company-provided trainingAssist with continuous improvement and quality initiativesRequired QualificationsAt least 1 year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environmentMinimum 2 years of experience using micrometers and calipersAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExperience inspecting machined partsWorking knowledge of GD&TStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsComfortable working a long-term 2nd shift schedulePreferred QualificationsExperience using optical comparatorsExperience inspecting CNC machined partsFirst article inspection experiencePrevious machining experience with an interest in quality inspectionFamiliarity with CMM equipment or willingness to learnWhy Join Us?Family-oriented company cultureStable, long-term opportunityHands-on training and career growthExposure to advanced inspection equipment and technologiesSupportive team environmentEmployee events and company gatheringsOpportunity to build valuable manufacturing and quality skillsWork EnvironmentYou'll work in a clean, precision machine shop that manufactures industrial components for equipment manufacturers. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
