Job description
Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the company's high standards for quality and precision. This position involves inspecting components and finished products, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.Minimum QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.Experience:2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection role.Knowledge:Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D requirements preferredFamiliarity with either IPC/WHMA-A-620 preferredFamiliarity with AS9102 First Article Inspections preferredSkills:Strong understanding of precision measurement tools and techniques.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to work in high mix, low volume environmentJob ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures).Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure products meet design requirements.Identify and document non-conforming materials or products and provide feedback to operators.Maintain accurate inspection recordsConduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with company and industry standards.Monitor and enforce compliance with customer workmanship standards.Participate in root cause analysis and recommend solutions to prevent recurring issues.Other duties as requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
