Quality Inspector IILocation: Bridgeton, MO, US, 63044The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.Job SummaryLeonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple Quality Inspector II for our Bridgeton, MO location. This role will provide quality support across numerous functions including but not limited to EATC (Electronic Assembly Test Center), incoming/receiving and Engineering efforts. This role will heavily consist of inspecting all subcomponents to the engineer drawing and IOC (Inspection Operation Card) criteria. The ability to decipher engineering drawing and the MIS (Manufacturing Instruction Set) will be vital in this role.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by the engineering drawings and/or modelsInspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirementsCreate organizational value by implementing innovative solutions and best practices involved in all processes of the product realization value streamAssist Quality Engineers with identifying non-conforming conditions of products that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assemblyAssist Quality Engineers prepare inspection plans and checklists for inspectionAssist Quality Engineers with data collection and root cause analysis investigationsGenerate discrepancy notices and initiate Material Review Board actionsPerform material movement transactions after completing inspection processMay specialize in receiving inspection, in-process inspection, process verification/auditing, final inspection, etcSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED At least 2 years of relevant experience In-depth knowledge of relevant manufacturing standards (such as J-Std-001/IPC-A-610) or common mechanical techniques (such as geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices) Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc) to verify mechanical part compliance Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify parts dimensions against drawing requirements Experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical comparator or other complex inspection systems is desired Ability to effectively interpret data and present as information and respond to questions from engineers and other technical staffThe salary range for this position is $41,011.00/year- $53,315.00 for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
