Quality InspectorWORK LOCATION: Huntsville, ALFLSA STATUS: Non ExemptSALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $ 24 to $ 32 hourly. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.SUMMARYAs a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality UAS/UAV products by conducting inspections and tests on components, subassemblies, and finished products. Your meticulousness, adherence to quality standards, and strong attention to detail will contribute to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.RESPONSIBILITIESThe following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.Perform inspections on assemblies and subassemblies at multiple stages of the production process including in-process and final.Perform receiving inspection to ensure vendor compliance with quality assurance standards and applicable specifications.Perform and support first article inspection as required.Read and interpret released drawings, engineering change documents, assembly and inspection instructions.Use standard electrical and mechanical inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, mechanical gauges and other measuring devices.Identify, document, and process non-conforming material in accordance with prescribed procedures.Identify production or test anomalies and support resolution.Communicate and support resolution of quality-related issues.Perform internal audits of specific areas, processes and procedures as required.Maintain accurate records of accepted / rejected material; maintain databases for analysis of non-conformities.Compliance with calibrated tool controls.Assumes all other responsibilities as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS4+ years of related experienceHigh school diploma or higherKnowledge of Optical PayloadsKnowledge of ESD requirements and practicesKnowledge of quality assurance and inspection principles, methods, and processesKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingKnowledge of wiring and electrical systemsKnowledge of engineering drawings and wiring schematicsExperience inspecting a product or system according to specifications and requirements.Experience reading and comprehend standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings.Ability to obtain and maintain certifications as required by training matrix and specialty.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· IPC/WHMA-A-620IPC-A-610J-STD-001Compliance with ISO 7 Cleanroom RequirementsExperience with aerospace standards AS9100, ISO-9001, and its general practicesREDWIRE DEFENSE TECH BENEFITSMatching 401(k)Paid PTOPaid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental insuranceGroup Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityHSA and FSA OptionsCritical Care PlanAccident Care PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanCLEARANCE REQUIREMENTSThis position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment.
