Fralock is headquartered in Valencia, CA with manufacturing locations located throughout Northern and Southern California.VISIONTo be recognized by our customers as a leading solutions provider of proprietary engineered advanced materials for high reliability, severe environment, and technically challenging applications.MISSIONTo create value, profitably grow, and share our success with all stakeholders.CULTURERespect – We treat others the way they want to be treated.Integrity – We practice a high standard of ethics in our business dealings with customers, suppliers, and employees.Responsiveness – We have a sense of urgency in responding to internal and external requests and work proactively to solve problems.Excellence/Competence – We empower our people to continuously improve and execute high quality work.Teamwork – We work together to achieve Fralock business objectives by communicating at a high level, by listening and having clarity in our expectations of one another.Individual Accountability and Personal Responsibility – We do what we have committed to do when we committed to doing it.Continuous Improvement across all segments of the companyThis position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.Main FunctionsQuality Inspector III performs advanced inspections and acts as the quality owner for product flow through inspection, ensuring parts are dispositioned, released, and communicated in a timely manner to support customer requirements and on-time shipment.Typical DutiesPerform in-process and final inspections to drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsInterpret blueprints and GD&T verify dimensions using CMM, Keyence IM systems, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other calibrated equipmentComplete and maintain inspection records, including AS9102 first article reports, dimensional reports, CMM results, ballooned drawings, photos, and QMS/ERP entriesIdentify, tag, document, and coordinate disposition of nonconforming material with Quality, Engineering, Production, Receiving Inspection, and PurchasingRelease and route inspected parts to the next approved operation and communicate inspection status, priorities, holds, and disposition requirementsCoordinate parts cleaning and secondary operations as required, including performing these activities when neededMonitor work-in-process held in Quality; escalate aging, blocked, or shipment-critical parts and coordinate recovery actionsResolve inspection, documentation, material-status, and workflow roadblocks with Production, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality leadershipVerify required inspections, acceptance records, and customer-specific documentation are complete before parts advance or shipPrepare and present customer quality reports, first article results, nonconformance status, corrective-action updates, and supporting dataCommunicate quality constraints, priorities, and recovery actions during production and shipment reviewsProvide day-to-day technical guidance to inspectors on methods, priorities, documentation, and escalation requirementsSupport containment, material review, root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvementMaintain inspection equipment and the work area in a clean, organized, and calibration-compliant conditionOther duties as assigned, including working in other departmentsRequired SkillsPC literate (MS office 365) ERP/QMS data entry.Knowledge in blueprint reading and geometrical tolerances; use of hand-held inspection tools and templatesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing reporting and clear escalation of priorities and roadblocks.Proficient in GD&TFamiliarity with measurement tools and inspection equipment (CMM, Keyence IM systems, calipers, micrometers, gauges)Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, urgency, and ability to prioritize work and coordinate part flow.Preferred SkillsProficient with CMM inspection, Statistical Process Control (SPC), First Article Inspection reporting, and customer-specific quality documentation.Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or ISO 13485 standards, including nonconformance control, corrective action, and audit support.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalentExperience RequirementsMinimum 5 years of progressively responsible quality inspection experience in a controlled manufacturing environment, including complex inspection, quality documentation, cross-functional issue resolution, and production workflow support.
