Quality InspectorSouth Bay Solutions is a high-precision machine shop, making parts for semiconductor, medical devices, and advanced tech hardware. Our tolerances are measured in microns, our equipment is top-of-the-line, and our team is passionate about quality craftsmanship.The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining South Bay Solutions' quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. This role includes analyzing inspection results, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with customer and company specifications.Available ShiftsSwing ShiftMonday through Friday2:30 PM to 11:05 PMWeekend ShiftFriday, Saturday, Sunday5:00 AM to 5:00 PMKey ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.Perform inspections on surface plates and other inspection equipment.Measure and test products using a variety of inspection tools and equipment.Conduct visual inspections to customer and company requirements.Maintain product identification and traceability records.Document inspection data, create reports, and issue NCRs within the ERP system.Accept or reject products based on inspection results.Support quality improvement initiatives and KPI tracking.Perform additional duties as assigned.Required Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Up to 2 years of mechanical inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M standards.Ability to apply mathematical concepts, geometry, trigonometry, and datum structures.Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and data entry.Preferred ExperienceASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.Experience using:Keyence Video CMMOptical Comparator with Quadra-Chek 200Manual Mitutoyo CMMZeiss CMM programsAbility to:Set up and troubleshoot CMM programsValidate parts using multiple inspection methodsAnalyze and trend inspection data and KPIsCommunicate inspection methods and results effectivelyBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for EmployeesLife InsuranceSafe Harbor 401(k) PlanCompany 401(k) MatchPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick Leave, Holidays, and Floating Holiday)Employee Referral Program
