Quality Inspector II (QC II)Location: Pasadena, TX (On-site) Pay Rate: $28–$35/hr Employment Type: Contract (W-2) Schedule: Monday–Friday*, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with some overtime and weekend workOur client assembles and tests control and safety relief valves for commercial and nuclear applications. They are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector II. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections, verify documentation and material certifications, and work with production and quality teams to resolve non-conformances and meet customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect commercial and nuclear parts and products to confirm they meet measurement and testing requirementsPerform final inspection of assembled and tested control and safety relief valves, including: visual inspection of the equipmentreview of document packs against Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)confirming tag plate markings meet customer requirementsInspect, gather, and review product documentation, including final document packets, material heat reports, and Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs)Work closely with the documentation team to provide inspection reports and CMTRs that meet customer requirementsDocument inspection and testing results and keep accurate recordsSupport incoming, in-process, and final inspection areas as needed to meet customer requirementsVerify warehouse picking accuracy by confirming part numbers and quantitiesInspect packaging methods against customer and internal requirementsWork with the Material Review Board (MRB) on non-conforming products, and help identify corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrenceReport internal and external defects daily and help identify root causesCollaborate with production teams to address quality issuesHelp train operations team members to improve customer satisfactionSupport lean activities and initiatives as requiredFollow safety protocols during all inspection activitiesRequired QualificationsMust be authorized to work in the United States3+ years of experience in quality inspectionDiploma in mechanical or a related technical field; or a GED with 3–5 years of experienceExperience with control valves, safety valves, and safety relief valvesSAP ERP Quality Control experienceExperience reading part CAD drawingsGD&T experienceResults-driven, with strong attention to detailPreferred QualificationsNDE Level II certification in Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
