Job Description Job Description ImageTek/Montrose, a rapidly expanding contract manufacturer in Putnam, CT, is looking to add a Quality Inspector to our growing team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products and overseeing operations for a company to ensure they meet production standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist with establishing quality standards for products the company produces within in ISO 9001 Guidelines
Read specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
Prepare samples for testing
Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
Inspect and test the materials and products produced
Use equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, etc. to measure products
Remove and reject products that do not meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product quality
Accept or reject finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team
Perform inspections at random to assess product quality
Perform other duties, within reason as requested by Management
Basic Qualifications:
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Technical skills and ability to understand Procedures, Work Instructions, documents and manuals
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
Ability to communicate and influence others to follow rules and regulations within both the Quality and Manufacturing Departments
Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
Verbal and written communication skills
Dexterity, physical strength and physical stamina
