Quality InspectorJoin Our TeamAre you passionate about quality, precision, and ensuring products meet the highest standards? We're seeking a Quality Inspector to play a critical role in verifying that our products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and company quality standards before they reach our customers.In this hands-on role, you'll perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections, analyze quality data, identify nonconformances, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement.Perform Product InspectionsConduct final inspections of parts and assemblies prior to shipment.Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using: Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, CMMs, Optical measurement systemsInspect carbon fiber and composite components for defects such as: Delaminations, Voids, Dimensional deviationsVerify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.Manage Quality DocumentationRecord and maintain inspection results within quality management systems.Ensure complete traceability of lot numbers, inspection records, and quality documentation.Identify, quarantine, and document nonconforming materials and products.Create accurate records of defects, discrepancies, rework activities, and corrective actions.Interpret Technical RequirementsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and GD&T requirements.Determine appropriate inspection methods and measurement techniques.Evaluate dimensions, functionality, and overall product quality against specifications.Drive Continuous ImprovementSupport root cause investigations and corrective action efforts.Recommend improvements to inspection procedures and quality processes.Help reduce inspection cycle times and improve operational efficiency.Partner with Quality Engineers, Production teams, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.Support Manufacturing OperationsPrioritize inspection activities to meet production schedules and shipment deadlines.Inspect large-scale assemblies, including wings, tail fins, motor pods, and other complex components.Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as needed.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience performing:Visual inspectionsDimensional inspectionsFunctional inspectionsProficiency with precision measurement equipment: Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, CMMs, Optical measurement systemsAbility to:Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsUnderstand manufacturing specificationsApply GD&T principles during inspection activitiesIdentify and control nonconforming materialExperience with:Quality Management Systems (1Factory or similar)Jira or comparable task management platformsInspection documentation and reportingStrong attention to detail, computer skills, and technical documentation abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience inspecting carbon fiber and composite materialsElectrical troubleshooting experienceExperience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality process enhancementsExperience inspecting large assemblies and complex structuresStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWhy You'll Love Working HereCareer Growth & ImpactHelp shape quality standards as the organization continues to grow.Gain experience with innovative manufacturing technologies and complex assemblies.Influence inspection processes and continuous improvement initiatives.Cutting-Edge ToolsWork with advanced metrology equipment and modern quality systems.Expand your expertise in GD&T, quality management systems, and inspection technologies.Collaborative CultureWork alongside talented Quality Engineers, Manufacturing teams, and technical leaders.Join a culture focused on teamwork, innovation, accountability, and professional development.Work EnvironmentMonday-Friday | 7:00 AM-4:00 PMOccasional overtime or weekend work based on production needs.Open production floor with dedicated assembly stations.Casual dress code and team-oriented culture.Opportunities to work with large aerospace-style assemblies, including wings, tail fins, and motor pods.Close collaboration with Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and Lead Quality Engineers.Ideal CandidateYou are a detail-oriented Quality Inspector who enjoys solving problems, working with precision measurement equipment, and ensuring products meet the highest quality standards. You thrive in a manufacturing environment, can confidently interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, and take pride in delivering quality work that directly supports customer success.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
