Job description
Quality InspectorThe primary function of the Quality Inspector is to ensure that inbound and outbound products, materials, and supplies meet the required quality standards. The role also involves maintaining all applicable records and files.ResponsibilitiesPerform inbound inspections on select products and materials received from suppliers and record inspection data.Conduct performance inspections of all outbound customer shipments, ensuring accuracy of product count, lot numbers, and shipment documentation including packing list and shipping label. Ensure the stability of pallets and record results.Inspect all production materials prior to production acceptance and record inspection data.Perform inspections of all completed production orders, verifying accuracy of product count, lot numbers, applicable labels, and pallet stability. Record results.Maintain all pertinent records of inspections and tests performed in accordance with Device History Records.Ensure shipping personnel adhere to current processes and protocols.Conduct internal audits as scheduled and assist with internal and external corrective/preventative action requests.Maintain OSHA/Safety training and inspections.Assist in the maintenance of the Non-conformance program.Notify Quality Supervisor and Operations Manager of any quality or safety-related issues.Perform related duties without impeding production or warehouse personnel.Support current processes ensuring practices support lean manufacturing, are ISO compliant, meet FDA standards, and meet OSHA requirements.Ensure compliance with established processes and procedures and maintain a clean, sanitary working environment to ensure proper storage and delivery of products.Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.Essential SkillsQuality controlQuality assuranceQuality inspectionVisual inspectionQuality checkInspectionAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in picking, order picking, packing, material handling, and order selecting.Why Work Here?We offer competitive benefits and a great schedule, fostering a positive work-life balance.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office within a warehouse setting. Employees must wear a safety vest and any other safety equipment deemed necessary to complete duties.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Suffolk, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
