It's our people who fuel our creativity and make our culture feel like home.Join our team as a Quality Inspector!Third Shift – Sunday to Thursday 11pm to 7amThis role has a five day/week on-site expectation.The Quality Inspector I is responsible to ensure product quality by completing first piece, in-process, and final product inspection while maintaining a record of all inspection data.What you will do:Read customer print to work order.Read customer prints and associated job documentation and ensure all requirements are met. This includes but is not limited to basic dimensions, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, surface finish, material type, and plating/finish requirements.Record and archive inspection results.Write up parts requiring reworks or remakes via non-conformance reports and route them to the proper operations.Complete first article inspection (FAI) reports when required by the customers.Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following all plant rules.Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workplace and ensure all tools are properly stored and accounted for when not in use.Perform other related duties as assignedWhat it takes:High school diploma or equivalent degreeAble to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leadsGood written and oral communication skillsAble to use measuring instruments such as scales, and calipersAble to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliersAble to use a computer and calculatorAble to read and write in English, and do basic arithmeticAble to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environmentMust be punctual and have good attendanceStrong attention to detail is requiredBonus points for:Previous experience in a CNC Machining environment.What you will get:We offer a competitive salaryIn addition, we offer amazing benefits including but not limited to:Health Insurance: Traditional OR High Deductible planFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings Account (including employer contributions)Dental and VisionBasic and Supplemental Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityPaid caregiver leaveYou will receive 3 weeks of PTO, plus Holiday Pay and Volunteer Hours401k with company match and immediate vestEmployee Stock Purchase Program at a 15% discounted rateMatching grants through Protolabs foundationAnd More!$19 - $24 an hour Plus, additional Third Shift differential of $3.40 Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions.
