Quality Inspector - Weekend NightsThe primary responsibility of the Quality Inspector is to ensure product quality by completing first piece, in-process, and final product inspection while maintaining a record of all inspection data.Shift - Weekend Nights Fri - Sun 6PM-6AMWhat You Will DoComplete inspection operations while following prescribed sampling plansRead customer prints and associated job documentation and make sure all requirements are met. This includes but is not limited to: basic dimensions, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, surface finish, material type, and plating/finish requirementsRecord and archive inspection resultsWrite up parts requiring reworks or remakes via non-conformance reports and route them to the proper operationsMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following all shop floor rulesMaintain organization and cleanliness in the workplace and ensure all tools are properly stored and accounted for when not in useAdditional duties as assigned by Quality ManagerPerform other related duties as assignedWhat You Will NeedMechanical aptitude; previous experience in a machine shop, preferably with CNC machining is helpfulDetail oriented and thorough is a MUSTSense of urgencyBlueprint/CAD print readingNavigate 3D models in CAD softwareFollowing prescribed sampling plans to complete product inspectionUsing various measuring devices, including: calipers, thread gauges, pin gauges, digital height gaugeBasic computer skills necessary; must be familiar with Microsoft Office programsAbility and willingness to work overtimeGood decision-making, follow-up, and follow-throughInclination to ask questions and learnCustomer focusedRelated experience with certification in assigned area preferredGood Math SkillsAbility to use measurement toolsAble to lift 25+ lbs on a regular basisWhat Is In It For YouWe offer a competitive salary and annual bonus opportunityIn addition, we offer amazing benefits including but not limited to:Health Insurance: Traditional OR High Deductible planFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings Account (including employer contributions)Dental and VisionBasic and Supplemental Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityPaid caregiver leaveYou will receive PTO + Holiday Pay + Wellness Hours + Volunteer Hours401k with company match and immediate vestEmployee Stock Purchase Program at a 15% discounted rateMatching grants through Protolabs foundationAnd More!$18.08 - $24.42 an hourProto Labs maintains ITAR-compliant operations in all of our United States based facilities. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
