Job description
Quality Management Parts, Interior Intern (Spring 2027)Support and learn quality management functions with the supplier quality management applications on the interior parts commodities. The qualified intern/co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:OEE and value stream data collection system to be implemented at the suppliersSteer and coordinate the supplier quality development for specific supplier-related issues.Problem solving methodology (8D) to solve recurrent quality topics with a specific supplier.Assist the Quality Specialist on critical on-going projects or upcoming projectsWork on specific supplier issues with regards to process problem solving measures, using problem solving toolsAssist on supply chain topics with regards the sub-component stock tracking and crisis management on critical component shortagesSpecial scopes on specific supplier topics as defined by the Hiring manager and the assignment supervisorThe qualified intern should expect to contribute to improvements in the following functions:Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas.Support project management and coordination of plans for related projects.Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives.Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies.Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives for activities and actions.Provide regular input on enhancing processes and practices.Support the organization's vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap.Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support preparation for meetings.Participate in project team meetings.Provide general administrative support.Schedule the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis.Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.Qualifications:Enrolled in college program with major in business admin, engineering, supply chain or similar preferred.MS office, advanced excel, PowerPointExperience leading groups of peopleAssignment qualifications from JFDSPossess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTComplete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th – May 14th, 2027 BMW Manufacturing Company is an equal opportunity employer.
