Job description
Within our 1000-person manufacturing facility in Lemoore - Leprino is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager ( Internally titled: Senior Quality Supervisor) to lead Quality Execution across multiple teams supporting plant operations. Reporting to the Plant Quality Assurance Director, this role leads and develops Quality Supervisors and their teams while coordinating broader food safety and product quality activities across the facility.
At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $104,000 and $126,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 12% .
What You’ll Do:
Build/guide daily quality activities across multiple teams to keep food safety and product quality consistent across plant operations.
Lead, coach, and develop Quality employees and supervisors through technical training, regular feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
Plan and coordinate staffing across assigned Quality teams to support production needs while improving labor and workflow efficiency.
Guide quality decisions involving product testing, product conformance, equipment operations, sanitation, and employee practices.
Review quality data and recurring issues, coordinate corrective actions, and work with plant teams to strengthen quality performance.
Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation leaders to resolve quality concerns and maintain consistent standards across operations.
Prepare for and support regulatory, customer, and internal audits while ensuring teams maintain accurate documentation and execution readiness.
Oversee sanitation program effectiveness, product testing, and quality controls that protect food safety and product integrity.
Coordinate plant follow-up on customer complaints, audit responses, product specifications, evaluations, and other requests.
Ensure employees complete required training in food safety, GMPs, SQF, CCPs, sanitation, personal safety, and procedures.
Reinforce plant policies consistently while building collaborative relationships, addressing employee concerns, and supporting development across the Quality team.
Monitor department performance and recommend improvements in labor efficiency, manufacturing performance, cost control, safety, and product quality.
You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
A bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, dairy science, microbiology, chemistry, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Six or more years of quality or food safety experience in a regulated food manufacturing environment.
Two or more years of experience leading and developing other people managers or supervisors.
Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, sanitation programs, food safety requirements, and quality systems used in plant operations.
We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
Quality or production leadership experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing environments.
Experience leading supervisors or coordinating Quality activities across multiple teams or shifts.
Experience supporting customer, regulatory, or certification audits and coordinating responses to quality concerns.
Strong technical knowledge of cheese manufacturing, microbiology, sanitation practices, food laboratory testing, and statistical process control methods.
