Job description
Quality Technician IIIWe're seeking a senior Quality Assurance professional in Richfield, WI with strong PC-DMIS programming experience, advanced CMM knowledge, and expertise in precision machining quality systems.Quality Technician Responsibilities:Performs advanced dimensional inspections of machined components using precision measuring equipment (CMM, optical comparators, height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.)Interprets complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirementsConducts First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirementsDevelops, reviews, and maintains inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentationSupports PPAP submissions and customer qualification processesLeads root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for nonconforming productAssists in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipmentMentors and trains junior QA technicians and production personnel on quality processes and standardsParticipates in internal and external audits (ISO 9001, AS9100, customer audits)Collaborates with engineering and production teams to drive process improvements and prevent recurrence of quality issuesEnsures compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirementsRequirements for Quality Technician:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred5+ years of quality assurance experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment; 7+ years of quality assurance experience in a precision machining environment preferredHands-on experience programming and operating PC-DMIS for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and metrologyExperience working within ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systemsKnowledge of SPC, PPAP, corrective actions, and root cause analysisExcellent analytical, documentation, and communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systemsExperience with Zeiss Calypso or other advanced CMM software is a plusIND345 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has the resources of a large company but the feel and personalized customer service of a small one.
