Quality Inspector 1 - 3rd ShiftApplied Composites (AC) is seeking a Quality Inspector 1 - 3rd Shift who will be responsible for focusing primarily on preparation and bond work of test coupons. This position is responsible for preparation and testing of composite test specimens to support the manufacture of aerospace and space-based composite structures.Come and join the Applied Composites team. If you are looking for a company that values and develops its employees while offering engaging work, Applied Composites may be the place for you.Job Accountabilities:Performs routine visual inspection of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassembliesPerform acid digestion fiber volume determination including precision weighing and measuringMachining composite test couponsUse fixtures to accurately prep and bond test couponsUse of band saws and surface grindersPerform dimensional measurementsKeep accurate records of test resultsOperate the tension and compression test machineOperate test machines as neededSupport static load testingMonitor thermal cyclingMust be able to work 3rd shift hours and overtime as necessaryOther responsibilities as assignedJob Specifications: Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations Years' Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience Skills:Ability to learn and follow specific step by step instructionsAbility to make accurate measurements using calipers, micrometer, analytical balanceAbility to use test fixturesAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAt Applied Composites, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
