Job description

Quality TechnicianWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team at Schneider Electric manufacturing facility in Cedar Rapids. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all parts meet quality standards and specifications through rigorous inspection and testing processes. This role will involve collaborating with production teams to address any quality issues and to continuously improve the manufacturing processes. The Quality Technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of inspection results and for proposing and implementing quality control procedures.What will you do?Perform final inspections of finished partsCreate certifications of conformance for customersEnsure in-process quality inspections are being completedCreate documentation for non-conforming materialEnsure measurement tools are brought to Metrology department for calibrationDraft quality assurance policies and proceduresInterpret and implement quality assurance standardsDocument internal audits and other quality assurance activitiesInvestigate customer complaints and non-conformance issuesDevelop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actionsPrepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activitiesAssure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirementsWhat qualifications will make you successful?High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred but not requiredCertifications including Quality Auditor, Quality ImprovementExperience with ISO9001Experience with implementation of corrective and preventive actionsStrong computer skills including Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QAKnowledge of how to read blueprint drawingsKnowledge of basic measurement tools such as calipers, pin gages, micrometer, etc.Ready to lead quality and make a difference? This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
