Job description
Quality Technician (3rd Shift)The quality assurance technician will support manufacturing and follow policies and procedures related to successful operations.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.Perform measurements of components and assembliesPerform heat treat inspection including cutting, mounting, polishing and hardness testingPerform weld testing/inspectionPerforms receiving inspection when neededAssist in problem solving for nonconformancesConduct basic PM and cleaning (5S) dutiesOthers duties as assigned by managementThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Metrology and gage calibration experienceMetallurgy basics and heat treat testingProblems solving capabilities (especially related to manufacturing)Knowledge of GD&T and SPCProduct and performance testingWilling/able to learn to operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with an emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, ISO 14001, safety/environmental, 5S and productivityAbility to understand and demonstrate standard work and support company policyProficient communication skills, both written and oralAbility to work in a team environmental and be flexibleHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
