We take pride in our team's role in making products that make a difference.We're seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Quality Technician who is passionate about continuous improvement and quality excellence. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, and working collaboratively across teams to drive operational improvements.The pay range for this role is $20 - $23 hourly. Easy access to lakes, trails, and year-round outdoor recreation.Friendly, welcoming environment with a small-town feelFestivals, arts, dining, and outdoor events in every seasonAccess to healthcare, education, and career opportunities with Nortech Systems in a growing market.Primary Responsibilities:Assist with performing internal audits for processes and products to ensure compliance to the documented quality system.Assist with coordinating the successful closure of all closed loop corrective actions concerning quality issues of products and processes.Provide manufacturing with the necessary tools, training, and guidance to continually improve product and process quality as instructed.Assist in attaining department quality, cost goals and objectives.Report key measurements to management as directed.Promote a harmonious working environment that fosters continuous improvement.Perform basic quality techniques and report on materials, returns and processes.Coordinate the First Article process as assigned or directed.Assist with coordinating the successful closure of assigned customer complaints.Test, calibrate and repair electrical, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instruments for conformance to established standards as assigned.Assist with disassembling instruments and equipment and inspecting components for defects, issuing necessary repairs, maintenance and calibration as directed.Devise formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrationsAssist Engineering and Manufacturing in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment as assigned.Demonstrate and support Nortech's Mission, Core Values, policies and procedures at all times.Education & Background:Associates (A.A.) degree or equivalent certification in a manufacturing, quality control, or related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mathematics knowledge including basic calculations, fractions, and measuring.Experience:Reading and accurately interpreting technical instructions including engineering drawings and specifications.Using electrical, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instruments for conformance to established standards.Using electronic devices and computing systems including Microsoft Office and manufacturing/quality control software applications.Preferred:Three months' related work experience as described above.Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
