Quality & TS TechnicianPolyplex is looking for a Quality & TS Technician.We have benefit offerings: Medical (BCBS of AL), Dental, Vision, Basic Life (ER paid 100%), STD & LTD (ER paid 100%), Identity Theft (ER paid 100%) 401K (Co matches 3.5% with an employee's 6% contribution) 3% quarter target bonus Paid Leave: 80 hours of accrued Vacation, 24 hours of accrued Emergency Leave, 9 paid HolidaysPay: starting rate is between: (based on experience)Job DescriptionExpectations Accountable for assurance of quality within Polyplex, and Interact internally and with customers to resolve technical issues & provide them with solutions. Needs to be able to manage in a team setting in order to complete all lab functions and reports.Standardization of product specifications & internal processes to meet customer requirements and compliancesTest Methods, Sampling methods, and qualification criteria (for input, in process and outgoing products)Understanding the customer processes and expectations for existing & new productsDevelop & ensure systems as per ISO requirementsFormalize all such analysis methods with respect to different situations so that analysis/inspection can be standardizedStandardization by Analysis & process improvementsInstitute appropriate quality assurance system to ensure repeatability on overall product quality & performance - ISO systems & other relevant industry standardsManage laboratory functions, tests, equipment and reportsManage the CAPA process (Corrective & Preventative Action) internally & externallyCoordinate with internal & external customersConduct periodic audits as per scopeReceive samples from prospective customers for testingConduct testing and reporting of findings to Quality and Technical Services ManagerCompetenciesTechnical ExpertiseMechanical OrientationQuality AssuranceProduct KnowledgeComputer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)BehavioralStrong Work Ethics and Team PlayerAttention to DetailStrong Interpersonal (verbal and written) Communication SkillsProblem Solving and Analytical SkillsSafety OrientationMulti-Tasking and Prioritizing SkillsSelf-MotivationEducation Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Industry Experience At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with lab or production experience preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
