Quality Technician ManufacturingNSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician in Indianapolis, InQuality Inspector Monday-Friday 11pm-7:30am Pay Rate: 18.00 with potential OTQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED Previous experience in automotive industry (preferred) Previous experience in quality department (preferred) Previous experience in destructive quality testing (highly preferred)Job SummaryA Quality Technician is responsible for performing metallurgical inspections and tests on in-process production parts to determine if it meets customer specifications. In addition, a quality technician may be expected to perform the tasks of a contract processing technician if the volume of work demands it. This is a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 11:00PM-7:30AM with potential for overtime.Key Responsibilities• Monitor induction hardening machine quench concentration • Section parts and prepare samples for quality inspections using abrasive blaster, cutoff saw, grinders and polishers, and mounting press • Inspect and test parts at prescribed frequencies using magnetic particle inspection unit, hardness testers, microscopes, and various gauges to verify in-process production meets customer requirements • Accurately and promptly document the results of inspections and testingNSC Staffing values our employees and is committed to offering meaningful employment in safe workplace conditions.
