Job TitlePay up to $21.15/hourSafety Driven CultureGreat Benefits and Vacation Day 1 - medical and prescription, dental, vision insurance, 100% matching 401(k) plan, vacation, holidays, short-term and long-term disability, paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, branded work attire, safety shoe program, prescription safety glasses and vehicle discountsSign on Bonus - $1500Shift commitment bonus $2 per hour (40 - perfect attendance)Opportunity to earn quarterly incentive bonus up to $750All PPE ProvidedReferral BonusWeekly PayEssential Job FunctionsCollect windshield samplesCut windshields to create test samplesPrepare samples for specific testsConduct body glass fragmentation testsTest water softener system for each windshield lineConduct Distortion, Moisture, Pummel, Light Transmission, Boil testing, Ball Drop testing, Opacity testing analysis for all windshield partsConduct Robustness testing as needed or requiredConduct follow up testing as required for non-compliant productAdditional testing for the European and Asian Market partsKey CompetenciesIntermediate experience with Microsoft Suite (Word & Excel)Ability to work with minimal supervision and limited directionAbility to compile and compose reports for internal and external purposesAbility to understand tempered glass and Windshield standardsFamiliarity with reading & executing test specificationsAdept at summarizing data and revealing key trendsDetail oriented, able to maintain test logs/results/dataAbility and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and TrustRequirementsYears of Experience: 1+ years of related lab-based testing experience. Glass industry experience preferred, but not requiredOther Requirements: Must be able to work an alternative work schedule to include 12-hour shifts. Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.
