The Opportunity

/n As a Quantitative Developer, you will be responsible for building data pipelines and implementing statistical models that support the management of a $285 billion general investment account. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers and strategists to translate research into production-ready tools that enhance portfolio analytics and decision-making. The role offers meaningful exposure to front-office investment activity across a diverse set of asset classes including fixed-income ETFs, structured credit, derivatives, and commercial real estate.

The Team

/n

The immediate team comprises a blend of quantitative developers and strategists who bring a strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving both technical and business challenges. Embedded within the broader R&D organization of Investment Management, the team supports the oversight of the firm’s $285 billion General Investment Account. Known for its hands-on approach and intellectual curiosity, the team actively engages with new ideas and evolving market dynamics, driving innovation through close collaboration and a proactive problem-solving culture

The Impact

/n

In this role, you will assist in the development and management of hedging, pricing, and asset allocation strategies for MassMutual Investment Management, which drive our investment returns and income that financially secure our clients and their families.

/n

Minimum Qualifications:

/n

/n

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, information technology or related field

/n

- 6+ months of experience developing software through internships, academic projects, research, or professional experience.

/n

/n

/n

Ideal Qualifications:

/n

/n

- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, information technology or related field

/n

- Experience in ETL pipelines, cloud, data architecture, and CI/CD

/n

- Keen interest to work in investments outside of the public equity market

/n

- Quant/ML modeling experience

/n

- Excel and Python integration experience

/n

- Software development experience using GitHub and Docker

/n

- MLOps experience

/n

- Experience with Anthropic Claude

/n

/n
