Job description
Responsibilities
Assist R&D Lab Specialist I with daily laboratory tasks and testing activities.
Perform routine testing and evaluation of beauty and home fragrance products to determine compliance with specifications and performance or packaging standards.
Manage samples throughout the testing process, including receipt, testing initiation, evaluation at required timepoints, and final retention/storage.
Fill and assemble samples for testing according to established procedures.
Maintain and document testing status, observations, and results throughout the testing process.
Ship samples to vendors and cross-functional partners.
Organize and manage international bulk standards and coordinate shipment of standards.
Communicate testing status and results with R&D, QA, and Package Engineering teams.
Support additional laboratory tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a Scientific or Engineering field and/or relevant experience in QA, R&D, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document testing activities and results.
Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and established testing protocols.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple samples and shifting priorities.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel .
SAP experience preferred.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and business needs.
Location model: 100% onsite – Reynoldsburg, OH
Schedule: Standard business hours
Position Type: 3-month contract with possibility of extension
