Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Radiation Oncologist, you will join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-value, top-quality cancer care to the communities we serve in Durango, Colorado, and throughout the surrounding Four Corners region. As part of a physician-facing organization, you will be supported by extensive resources designed to allow you to focus on what matters most—caring for patients and serving the community. Our Durango Radiation Oncology program features aVarian Linac and HDR unit, 4D CT simulation, Aria/Eclipse, and SRS/SBRT capabilities , providing the technology and resources needed to deliver comprehensive, advanced radiation oncology care close to home.
Every day you will evaluate and treat patients across a broad spectrum of cancer diagnoses while working within ateam approach to evidence-based, multidisciplinary patient care . You will be part of a cohesive group of 11 Radiation Oncologists across seven centers in Colorado, supported by an integrated physics and dosimetry team. You will collaborate closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, advanced practice providers, physicists, dosimetrists, nursing teams, and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans and provide coordinated cancer care. Routine peer review, collaboration across centers, and a commitment to system-wideAPEx accreditation support a culture focused on clinical excellence, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled,board-certified , andcompassionate Radiation Oncologist committed to providing exceptional, evidence-based cancer care.
You will possessstrong communication abilities , excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across a multidisciplinary cancer program.
You will also demonstrate adeep commitment to patient-centered care , quality outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
Doctorate MD or DO required
DR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required
Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
