Job description
Make a real impact in patient care with this contract opportunity for an experienced Radiation Therapist. In this specialized role, you'll provide crucial daily care for oncology patients, accurately interpreting and administering radiation treatments according to physician orders. State-of-the-art equipment, including Truebeam and Halcyon systems, will be used alongside Aria for record and verification to ensure seamless, precise delivery.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Five 8-hour shifts)
Required Qualifications & Experience: Valid Virginia Radiation Therapy license (must have active license for consideration)
Proven proficiency in radiation therapy, including hands-on experience as a Radiation Therapist
Familiarity with Truebeam & Halcyon linear accelerators and the Aria record/verify system
Strong ability to interpret treatment plans and deliver therapies in compliance with physician direction
Experience with tumor localization, dosimetry, and simulation techniques
Comfortable participating in Brachytherapy procedures and collaborating with clinical staff
Commitment to patient safety, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities: Administer precise radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients following oncologist prescriptions
Perform simulations and assist with treatment planning, including tumor localization and basic dosimetry calculations
Provide clinical guidance and support for radiation therapy students as needed
Triage patients exhibiting acute symptoms, facilitating nursing evaluation and care
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and safety standards

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
