Job description
This is a full-time senior radiation therapist position responsible for delivering accurate radiation treatments to oncology patients, including treatment planning, simulation, and operation of the TrueBeam linear accelerator. The role involves preparing patient charts, coordinating treatment schedules, and ensuring adherence to departmental standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient treatments utilizing ionizing radiation under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist.
Operate advanced equipment such as the TrueBeam linac, and participate in treatment simulation and planning.
Teach students, present current cases, and ensure accurate treatment delivery.
Complete treatment processes and coordinate patient scheduling.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certified Radiation Therapist (RT(T)) with a completed accredited program.
Board Certified by ARRT.
Minimum of 2 years of experience; experience in treatment planning and operation of radiation therapy equipment preferred.
Strong knowledge of radiology, cancer care, radiation therapy, and dosimetry.
Additional Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: RT(T).
Key Skills: attention to detail, technical proficiency with radiation equipment, patient care, and teamwork. No on-call, weekends, or holidays are required.
