Position Details:
Mercy Hospital Springfield - ED Radiology
Full-Time: Monday - Thursday 4 - 10 hour shifts

Overview :
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging and accurate documentation standards. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
* Experience: no experience required
* Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
* Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry or registry eligible. Achieved ARRT registry within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements:
* Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
* Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
