Overview: As a Radiologic Technologist , you understand that your role goes beyond performing diagnostic imaging exams - it is also about creating a positive and reassuring experience for every patient. Through professionalism, compassion, and attention to patient care, you help ensure patients feel respected, informed, and comfortable throughout their visit.
In this role, you will perform ionizing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in a variety of clinical settings according to physician orders, applying sound judgment in exposure factors, imaging techniques, and patient care practices. Success in this position requires the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional patient care and promoting positive outcomes for both patients and care teams. Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more.
Responsibilities: Imaging: Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.
Documentation: Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
Patient Care and Safety: Provides for personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment in accordance with written standards so there is no injury to self or others.
Professional Behavior: Practices professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance and attitude that lead to physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence.
Qualifications: Education:
Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology school or program.
Licensure: Current applicable state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
Registered Radiological Technologist A.R.R.T. (R) required.
BLS Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
