Facility:
This is a well-established regional medical center offering comprehensive interventional radiology services to the surrounding community. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and provides strong support for locum providers, including orientation prior to the first confirmed shift and access to lodging per MSA guidelines.

Job Details:
Seeking a Locum Interventional Radiologist for gap coverage needs
Schedule includes 8-hour day shifts generally between 8a-4p, evening call from 4p-8a, and 24-hour call on weekends
Average of 10-15 procedures performed during the 8-hour on-site day shift
Call back expected primarily for emergencies during weekday and weekend call shifts
Provider will NOT be required to read diagnostics in between IR cases
Orientation required the day before the first confirmed shift from 8am-3pm
Required procedures include diagnostic and therapeutic vascular intervention, including angiography (venous and arterial), angioplasty (venous and arterial), stenting (venous and arterial), thrombolytic therapy, and embolization therapy
Vascular access procedures required including central lines, port-a-cath insertions, PICCs, and IVC filters
TIPS procedure experience required
Interventional body (non-neuro) procedures required
Aspiration and drainage procedures required including percutaneous needle biopsies (above and below diaphragm and bone), biliary and renal extractions, abscess drainage, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
Pain management procedures required including joint/epidural injections, vertebroplasty, arthrograms, blood patch, and myelography
Additional required procedures include percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, chest tube insertion, uterine artery embolization, liver Y90/TACE, gastrostomy tube insertion, nephrostomy/ureteral stent insertion, renal fistulograms, and cryoablation
Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy is required
EMR: Epic
Active North Dakota license or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand at time of submission) required
IR residency or fellowship required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Board certification required
Clean malpractice history highly preferred
Credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days; ND license and credentialing/enrollment paperwork must be completed prior to start
Traveling providers who require a flight will be accepted
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
