Interventional Radiologist Opportunity (Academic Subspecialty Practice)Location: Jacksonville, FLEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanent positionSetting: Academic / Tertiary Referral Center Position OverviewSeeking Interventional Radiologists to join a growing, highly specialized IR division within a destination academic medical center.This role offers a strong mix of advanced procedural work, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic engagement, with a particular emphasis on interventional oncology and transplant-related care. Position Highlights Join a team of 10 board-certified interventional radiologists Perform 8,000+ procedures annually State-of-the-art procedural environment: 4 interventional suites 1 CT/angiography hybrid room Expansion planned (additional rooms by 2027) Established outpatient IR clinic supporting consultative practice Strong inpatient service with evolving primary consult model Clinical Scope Broad interventional radiology practice including: Interventional oncology procedures Transarterial and ablative therapies Diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive procedures Subspecialty interests encouraged in: Liver-directed therapies (e.g., metastatic colorectal cancer) Lung ablation Lymphatic interventions Additional responsibilities: Inpatient consult coverage (rotational) Call participation Interpretation of vascular imaging (CTA / MRA) Multidisciplinary Environment Active participation in tumor boards Collaboration with: Oncology Transplant teams Surgical specialties Other subspecialty services Integrated care model with strong referral base Academic & Teaching Opportunities Involvement in: Integrated IR residency Independent IR residency ESIR training pathway Teaching responsibilities with residents and fellows Opportunities for research and academic advancement Support & Resources Dedicated support from 10 advanced practice providers (APPs) Well-developed outpatient and inpatient infrastructure Access to cutting-edge procedural and imaging technology Ideal Candidate Board Certified / Eligible in Interventional Radiology (IR/DR) Interest in: Subspecialty IR (oncology, transplant, complex interventions) Academic medicine and teaching Multidisciplinary collaboration Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits including: Medical, dental, vision HSA/FSA options Retirement plans Institutional support for academic and career growth Work Environment High-acuity, referral-based academic practice Balanced mix of procedural, consultative, and diagnostic work Strong team-based culture with APP and trainee support Ongoing departmental expansion and growth Community Highlights Coastal Florida location with excellent lifestyle appeal Access to beaches, outdoor recreation, and growing metro amenities No state income tax
