Job description
This Interventional Radiology opportunity in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established hospital-based IR team consisting of three physicians and two APPs. The position offers a consistent day-shift schedule with a 1:3 call rotation and provides a broad range of complex interventional procedures in a Level I Trauma Center setting. The facility is open to locum providers who can commit to at least 2 3 weeks of coverage per month.
Dates / Schedule Coverage needed ASAP
Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days (expedited process available for urgent needs)
Day-shift hospital-based schedule
Call coverage:Every third weekday (Q3)
Every third weekend
1:3 call rotation among Interventional Radiologists
Average case volume: Approximately 8 cases per day
Facility open to travel providers able to provide 2 3+ weeks of coverage per month
Job Details / Responsibilities Provide comprehensive Interventional Radiology services in a hospital-based practice setting.
Perform a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:Angioplasty
Stent placement
Embolization
Needle biopsies
Thrombolysis
Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
Additional experience with orthopedic, gynecologic, and urologic interventions is preferred.
Work collaboratively with a support team that includes:3 Interventional Radiologists
2 Advanced Practice Providers
Department manager and ancillary staff
Primarily treat adult patients, including a significant geriatric population.
Provide inpatient and emergency procedural coverage within a Level I Trauma Center.
Required Skills & Qualifications Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (Required)
Active Michigan Medical License (Required)IMLC/compact licenses not accepted
BLS Certification (Required)
ACLS Certification (Required)
Current NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation (Required)
Clean malpractice and license history strongly preferred
Ability to participate in weekday and weekend call rotation
Experience performing a broad range of interventional radiology procedures
