Nuclear Medicine & CT Technologist
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:30 - 18:00).
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine & CT Technologist who holds credentials in both areas. The ideal candidate will perform various imaging procedures, manage patient care, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic results.
Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine and CT imaging procedures according to established protocols.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and effectively.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and explain procedures to ensure patient cooperation.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and practice protocols in imaging.
Document imaging procedures and patient information using the EPIC charting system.
Manage daily case volume of approximately 6-8 cases per technician.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine and CT imaging.
Active Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) certification: ARRT(N) or CNMT.
Active CT certification: ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience in nuclear cardiology and pulmonary imaging is essential.
Strong skills in SPECT imaging (Bone, Thyroid, Cardiac Imaging) preferred.
