Alpena/Alma, Michigan Breast/IR Radiologist Licenses / Certifications American Board of Radiology (ABR) or AOBR certified / Board-Eligible - REQUIREDMQSA certification - REQUIREDBreast or IR fellowship preferred, but significant practice experience consideredMust be comfortable working autonomously in rural sites Schedule / Availability Alternate track 5/9 schedule: 5 days on-site, 9 days offTypical rotation: 3-4 days in Alpena, 1-2 days in AlmaTotal required work days per year: 130 (26 weeks)No evenings or weekend responsibilitiesTravel between sites 3 hours; living proximity flexible Facility / Clinical Setting Alpena: 139-bed hospital, Level III trauma, Lake Huron locationProcedures: IR drain placements, lumbar punctures, FL arthrograms, GI FL, paras, thoras, CT/US-guided biopsies, stereotactic & US-guided breast biopsiesAvg procedures per day: 11One full-time APP on site Alma: 107-bed teaching hospitalFocus on breast imaging, US/stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical lesion localizationAdditional procedures: thyroid nodule, lymph node, soft tissue biopsies, occasional cholecystostomy, CT lung/solid organ/soft tissue biopsies, abscess catheter placement, PICC placements, occasional joint arthrograms, HSGs, pain managementAvg procedures per day: 9APP coverage 3 days per week Practice Highlights 100% physician-owned and managed (independent practice)Entrepreneurial environment with optional involvement in committees/boardsAffiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine for teaching/research opportunitiesExposure to high diagnostic volume and variety of cases across multiple sites Compensation / Benefits $100K recruitment incentive (sign-on bonus)Competitive base compensation with opportunities for additional shifts$0 cost for medical/dental/vision coverage$18,000 medical reimbursement account annuallyMaximum 401K contributions ($70,000 in 2025)6-week paid parental leave + coordination with 12 weeks FMLA Candidate Requirements Significant experience in breast imaging and proceduresSignificant experience in basic IR proceduresComfortable practicing independently in rural sites RecruitWell's Core Values: Open communicationSense of urgencyTeamworkAccountabilityDriven to winHigher consciousness
