Exciting Locum Opportunity for Interventional Radiologists in a Reputable Healthcare System

Opportunity Highlights

Join a dedicated team of three Interventional Radiologists and two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Engage in a variety of interventional procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization)

Participation in additional procedures related to Ortho, Gyn, and Urology cases

Work within a Level I Trauma Center, providing a dynamic and challenging work environment

Enjoy the flexibility of locum tenens with the potential for extended coverage

Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

This role is based within an established regional medical center, offering hospital-based interventional radiology services. You will be involved in providing comprehensive IR care to a predominantly adult and geriatric patient demographic, supported by a robust team that includes a manager and two APPs. The position requires handling an average of eight cases per day, ensuring a balanced and manageable workload.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The position offers a structured schedule with office hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, day call from 7 AM to 5 PM, and night call from 5 PM to 7 AM. Weekend coverage is required on a third-weekend rotation. The call schedule is shared among three Interventional Radiologists, providing a well-balanced work-life integration. Coverage dates extend through various months, offering opportunities for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Support and Work Environment

The healthcare system provides extensive support, including administrative and clinical assistance, ensuring that you can focus on providing excellent patient care. On-campus lodging is available if needed, and mileage reimbursement is offered at the IRS standard rate, making travel convenient and cost-effective.

Qualifications

Board Certification in Interventional Radiology

Active Michigan Medical License

BLS and ACLS certifications

Clean malpractice and license history preferred

Availability for 2+ weeks of coverage per month is advantageous
