Job description
Are you a Radiology Technician looking for an opportunity to work closely with orthopedic physicians and make a direct impact on patient care? We’re hiring an experienced Rad Tech to join a busy orthopedic specialty practice in Des Moines!
This is a great opportunity to build your orthopedic imaging experience while working alongside a collaborative medical team and receiving on-site training.
What You’ll Do
Perform diagnostic X-rays and imaging of various areas of the body, including shoulders, knees, hips, and other orthopedic injuries
Work closely with orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Support physicians in the evaluation and treatment of sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, and acute injuries
Provide compassionate, professional care while ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout the imaging process
Follow established radiation safety and imaging protocols
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced specialty setting
Participate in ongoing training and development provided on site
8-hour shifts
Regular schedule falls between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Urgent Clinic coverage may be scheduled 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
May work approximately one Saturday every 4–6 weeks
Saturday Urgent Clinic: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
$100 bonus for working a Saturday
$50 additional compensation if placed on Saturday call from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
What We’re Looking For
ARRT certification/license eligible to practice in Iowa
At least 6 months of Radiology Technician experience
Strong attention to detail and commitment to obtaining quality diagnostic images
Excellent patient-care and communication skills
Ability to work effectively alongside physicians and clinical staff
Orthopedic, sports medicine, urgent care, or outpatient imaging experience is a plus
