Job description
Knife River is seeking a Rail Crew Foreman/Leadman to lead daily rail construction and maintenance operations on heavy civil projects. This role supervises crew members, coordinates equipment and materials, and ensures work is completed safely, on time, and to quality specifications. Responsibilities include reading plans, laying track, overseeing grading and ballast placement, inspecting work, and enforcing safety procedures. The Foreman/Leadman will train and mentor crew, communicate with project managers and inspectors, complete daily reports, and help troubleshoot field issues while promoting Knife River’s safety-first, team-oriented culture.
