Job description
Billing AdministratorThe Billing Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of AmeriPharma® by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the billing and collections process. This position is responsible for a range of administrative and clerical tasks to assist with billing, cash posting, collections, and overall reimbursement activities. This role requires strong communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments such as billing, collections, and reimbursement. The Billing Administrator will support day-to-day operations, assist in maintaining accurate financial records, and help ensure timely reimbursement from insurance payers and patients.Schedule DetailsLocation: On-Site, Laguna Hills, CAHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMDuties and ResponsibilitiesRetrieve and provide Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to the cash posting teamSort incoming correspondence and route to the appropriate reimbursement specialistScan and upload daily correspondence into designated foldersDistribute incoming faxes to appropriate team membersSupport the unapplied cash reporting processAssist with patient balance adjustments and related account tasksCollaborate with the Lead Biller and Lead Collector to ensure workflows are followed accuratelyEnter and manage data using spreadsheets and Google SheetsMaintain and organize departmental documents and communicationsAssist in processing refund and overpayment requestsPerform general clerical duties such as answering phones and preparing reports or internal documentsCarry out other duties as assigned by managementRequired QualificationsAbility to read, write, and speak fluent EnglishStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with spreadsheets, document scanning, and online claim submission portalsAbility to understand and interpret data, reports, and insurance documentationAttention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentialityEducation and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent1–3 years of experience in billing, collections, clerical, or administrative supportKnowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes, and the CMS HCFA 1500 form & electronic billingPreferred QualificationsBilling certification or courseworkUnderstanding of medical billing processes for both commercial and government insurance payersPrior experience with electronic billing systems and terminology used in specialty or infusion pharmacy is a plusAmeriPharma's Mission StatementOur goal is to achieve superior clinical and economic outcomes while maintaining the utmost compassion and care for our patients.
