Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Real Estate Accountant to join our team in Forest Hills, Queens. This role is responsible for accounting and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio of properties, as well as family trust and individual accounts.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and tenant security deposit reconciliations.
Reconcile marketable securities and investment accounts.
Prepare monthly and periodic journal entries.
Perform monthly general ledger analysis and account reviews.
Prepare comprehensive year-end workpapers for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Maintain intercompany receivable and payable schedules.
Prepare municipal Income & Expense (I&E) reports, Certiorari filings, and RPIE reports.
Assist with annual budgeting.
Process capital calls, distributions, intercompany advances, and repayments.
Support special projects and other accounting-related assignments as needed.
Work Schedule & Peak Season Requirements
Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Peak season (January–April): Paid overtime as needed, including weekday overtime and Saturdays working remotely from home. xavwley
Holiday schedule: Work on two federal holidays in exchange for two floating holidays.
