Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, easements, and related transactional documents.
Manage the full lifecycle of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing transactions, including closings.
Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, environmental reports, and estoppels.
Resolve title and survey objections, and coordinate with title companies, lenders, brokers, and opposing counsel.
Prepare closing checklists, settlement statements, and post-closing deliverables.
Advise clients on deal structure, risk allocation, and practical business considerations.
Supervise and mentor paralegals and junior associates as appropriate.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver responsive, practical counsel.
What You Bring
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active license and good standing with the (State) Bar.
(3–7) years of commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm or in-house.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Working knowledge of title insurance, surveys, and the commercial closing process.
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Clear, professional communication with clients and counterparties.
Nice to Have
Experience with (development, 1031 exchanges, CMBS or construction lending, affordable housing, or land use and zoning).
Existing client relationships or portable book of business.
Familiarity with (practice management or document management software).
