The Axel Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our client’s team in Somerset County, New Jersey. The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will play an integral role in supporting the company's in-house legal team, with a primary focus on commercial leasing, lease negotiations, amendments, and real estate transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join an established organization and contribute directly to its ongoing operations and success.
Draft, review, and assist in negotiating commercial lease agreements, ensuring terms align with company objectives and legal requirements.
Prepare lease amendments, modifications, assignments, assumption agreements, and other leasing-related documentation.
Support commercial real estate transactions through document preparation, due diligence, title review, and coordination of required filings.
Assist with drafting, reviewing, and maintaining various corporate agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
Collaborate with internal departments on leasing matters, tenant-related issues, contractual obligations, and risk management.
Maintain organized electronic and physical legal records, ensuring accurate documentation and accessibility.
Monitor critical dates, contractual deadlines, and outstanding legal matters to ensure timely completion.
Conduct legal research and assist with preparing correspondence, reports, and materials for meetings.
Serve as a point of contact for incoming inquiries, coordinating communication with internal teams and external parties. xhqgsiq
Provide ongoing legal and administrative support to senior legal leadership and assist with additional departmental needs as required.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate
ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Demonstrated experience preparing, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases, amendments, and related agreements
Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions, due diligence, title documentation, and corporate legal matters
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and DocuSign
Benefits:
Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
